How to find your belt size
Two ways to get it right, both under a minute. The result is the belt size to order, sitting on the middle hole and ready to wear from the day it arrives.
Your belt size is two inches larger than your trouser waist.
A belt sits lower than your trousers and wraps around through the loops, so it runs longer than your waist. For most people the right belt is two inches larger than the trouser or jean size you usually wear.
If you wear a 34" trouser, choose a 36" belt. The size you order falls on the middle hole, with room to adjust either way.

Trouser sizes vary between brands. If you are between two sizes, or your jeans run large, choose the larger belt.
Already own a belt that fits? Measure that one.
The most accurate way to size up is to measure a belt you already wear and like. Lay it flat. Measure from the end of the strap, not including the buckle, to the hole you use most. That length, rounded to the nearest inch, is your CarveOn belt size.
Every belt is cut with five holes, an inch apart.
The size you order sits on the middle hole, with two holes on each side. That gives you two inches of adjustment in either direction as the leather settles. Full grain leather softens and gives a little with wear, never the other way, so a snug first week is normal and right.
Two things to avoid.
Ordering your trouser size. A belt the same number as your trousers fastens on the last hole and pulls out of shape. Add the two inches.
Measuring across the buckle. Belt size is the strap alone, from where the leather meets the buckle to the hole you use. The buckle is never counted.
